OPERATION LIFEBOAT IS UNDERWAY. HELP US GET TRANS KANSANS TO SAFETY.

This is Trans Liberty's emergency evacuation and support operation for trans Kansans.


Kansas SB 244 voided every trans Kansan's driver's license and birth certificate without warning and authorized $1,000 bounties against trans people using public restrooms.


Without a valid ID you can't drive to work, board a plane, cash a check, or vote. Thousands of American citizens are now undocumented in their own country.


A court has already denied the request to block this law. All penalties remain active. This is not going away.


Operation Lifeboat is running. Veterans and disaster response professionals with decades of experience in refugee & evacuation operations around the world are supporting our national trans organizers with a full, 100% volunteer incident management team.


On day one alone, we recieved 20 requests for assistance, and the requests keep coming. We've already mobilized 53 volunteers in Kansas and across the country to support the mission, but volunteer labor can't do it alone.

 - Moving assistance for families uprooting their lives

 - Legal support and document navigation

 - Direct financial aid to people in crisis


Every case is complex and resource-intensive. The volume is growing. And the worst part is, more states are watching Kansas as a template - so we're working to train members of our community in this type of work and expand our capacity for the next state to fall.


Trans Liberty is the only organization in the country dedicated to fighting the political persecution of trans Americans in the heartland - in the places where national organizations don't go. We'll be on the front lines of this fight politically, and on the ground protecting the lives of trans Americans who are under attack in any way we can.


We are not going to let anyone face this alone.
