After our afternoon Mega Canvass, join us for a special conversation with Evan MacKay and Congresswoman-elect Claire Valdez. This will be a chance to talk more about the political movement we're building across the country, and how important it is to elect Evan MacKay as State Rep for the 25th Middlesex district as part of that effort.


Claire and Evan share backgrounds as union organizers within the United Auto Workers (UAW). They have seen that when we work together, organized people can overcome enormous obstacles to transform our lives. Claire and Evan were both involved with the Unite All Workers for Democracy (UAWD) anti-corruption and progressive caucus of UAW and helped elect Shawn Fain as UAW president.


Why is it important to elect labor organizers to our legislatures? What has Claire been able to do as an organizer in the New York state legislature? How will a background as an anti-corruption organizer help Evan take on the status quo of State House Leadership? How can we transform Congress to work for ordinary people?
