Arizona has a Democratic governor – and a Republican legislature. In 2026, all 90 state legislative seats are on the ballot, along with the governorship itself.
Republicans hold both chambers by thin margins. Democrats need just a handful of seats to flip either one. But winning means competing everywhere – including the reddest districts where Democratic candidates typically run under-resourced.
First In Line funds Democratic state legislative candidates in Arizona's most overlooked districts – starting with districts that went under-contested in 2024 and working our way out from there.
These candidates are giving voters a choice, forcing Republicans to spend money they thought they'd save, and turning out voters that lift the entire ticket. Funding them matters.
Our goal is $2,500 per candidate – enough for yard signs, postcards, and gas money – basics that make the difference between a real campaign and just a name on a ballot.
In a state this close, Democrats can't afford to leave any district under-contested or any candidate under-resourced.
We fund in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Once a round hits its goal, the next opens. A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
