Georgia has been at the center of Democratic politics for years. Millions of dollars have poured into the state. Organizers have worked tirelessly to build a movement.
So it might surprise you to learn that in 2024, 65 state legislative races had no Democrat on the ballot. Another 65 were underfunded. More than a dozen candidates raised less than a thousand dollars.
All that national attention — and still, more than half the state legislature went uncontested or under-resourced.
In 2026, Georgia has an open governor's race and Jon Ossoff is defending his Senate seat in one of the most watched races in the country. Every vote matters. Every district matters.
Underfunded candidates can't reach voters. They can't make Republicans spend money they thought they'd save. And they can't turn out the voters that lift the entire ticket.
First In Line is changing that. We fund Democratic state legislative candidates in Georgia's most overlooked districts – starting with districts that went completely uncontested in 2024 and working our way out from there.
Our goal is $2,500 per candidate – enough for yard signs, postcards, and gas money – basics that make the difference between a real campaign and just a name on a ballot.
In a state this competitive, with this much on the line, Democrats can't afford to leave any candidate under-resourced.
These candidates are showing up and running hard in some of the hardest places. Let's make sure they know they're not doing it alone.
We fund in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Once a round hits its goal, the next opens. A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
