First In Line: Illinois

Illinois is a blue state — but not everywhere. Downstate Illinois and rural communities across the state have districts where Democrats have been running on empty for years, or not running at all.

Every State Blue is changing that. Our First in Line initiative funds Democratic state legislative nominees in Illinois' reddest, most overlooked districts — the candidates who show up anyway, even when the odds are stacked against them.

First In Line funds in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Once a round hits its goal, the next opens. A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
