First In Line: Illinois

Illinois is a blue state — but not everywhere. Downstate Illinois and rural communities across the state have districts where Democrats have been running on empty for years, or not running at all.

Every State Blue is changing that. Our First in Line initiative funds Democratic state legislative nominees in Illinois' reddest, most overlooked districts — the candidates who show up anyway, even when the odds are stacked against them.

*We fund in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Our target is to raise $2,500 per candidate. Note: The current fundraising goal is a milestone toward that overall target. Once we raise the equivalent of $2,500 per page recipient (which in IL's Round 1 is $22,500), the next round opens.

A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
