First In Line: Nevada

Nevada's governor's race is one of the most competitive in the country. Democrat Aaron Ford is challenging Republican incumbent Joe Lombardo in a race that could be decided by less than a percentage point.

Turning out every Democratic voter is critical – including those who live in the reddest parts, that statewide candidates often struggle to reach.

One of the most efficient ways to turn out Democratic voters is to fund local state legislative candidates. Research shows that going from an uncontested state legislative race to a contested one leads to a 1.5% vote share increase for the top of the ticket.

That could be the margin in Nevada.

First In Line helps people like you directly support candidates who are running in districts that were uncontested last cycle.
