Oklahoma's Democratic roots run deep. They just need water.
For most of the state's history, Democrats dominated Oklahoma politics – the legislature, the governorship, the congressional delegation. That changed gradually, then all at once.
Today Republicans hold supermajorities in both chambers. In 2024, 62% of state legislative races had no Democrat on the ballot.
But something is stirring. Grassroots activists across Oklahoma are done sitting on the sidelines. Candidates are filing to run in districts that have gone uncontested for years – because they know that accountability requires someone willing to show up.
First In Line funds the candidates doing the hardest work in the hardest places. By running, they're giving voters a choice, holding extremists accountable, and rebuilding the Democratic infrastructure Oklahoma needs.
Our target is $2,500 per candidate – enough for yard signs, postcards, and gas money – basics that make the difference between a real campaign and just a name on a ballot.
These candidates aren't waiting to be rescued. They just need to know someone's got their back. And we do. We hope you do, too.
*We fund in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Our target is to raise $2,500 per candidate. Note: The current fundraising goal is a milestone toward that overall target. Once we raise the equivalent of $2,500 per page recipient (which in OK's Round 1 is $37,500), the next round opens.
A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
