In 2024, 70 South Carolina state legislative districts had no Democrat on the ballot. Nearly 60% of all districts were either uncontested or underfunded.
In 2026, Democrats filed to run in every single state House district — the largest candidate field in modern South Carolina Democratic history.
That didn't happen by accident. It happened because people decided that South Carolina deserved better than a statehouse full of Republicans who never had to answer to anyone.
First In Line is funding the candidates leading that charge — starting with the districts that went completely uncontested in 2024. These candidates are giving voters a choice for the first time in years, forcing Republicans to defend territory they thought was theirs for free, and building the Democratic infrastructure South Carolina needs — in a year with an open governor's race and Lindsey Graham's Senate seat on the ballot.
Our target is $2,500 per candidate – enough for yard signs, postcards, and gas money – basics that make the difference between a real campaign and just a name on a ballot.
These candidates are showing up and running hard in some of the hardest places in the country. Let's make sure they know they're not doing it alone.
*We fund in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Our target is to raise $2,500 per candidate. Note: The current fundraising goal is a milestone toward that overall target. Once we raise the equivalent of $2,500 per page recipient (which in SC's Round 1 is $42,500), the next round opens.
A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
Your gift splits evenly among recipients. Click "customize amounts" to adjust.
