First In Line: Texas

Help build the wave that reaches every corner of Texas.

Texas Democrats are contesting every state legislative race in Texas – even the reddest ones.

That's a historic opportunity to reach every voter in a year with a governor's race and a Senate seat on the ballot.

Down-ballot candidates lift the entire ticket. Going from an uncontested race to a contested one leads to a 1.5% vote share increase for the top of the ticket.

But candidates in the reddest districts often struggle to get the resources they need. In 2024, 59 Texas state legislative nominees were underfunded.

That's a problem we can solve.

First In Line is Every State Blue's crowdfunding effort to fund Democrats who are running in districts that went uncontested in the last cycle.

These candidates are giving voters a choice, holding extremists accountable, and building Democratic infrastructure. They're forcing Republicans to defend their territory and spend money they thought they'd save. And they're turning out voters that will lift the statewide ticket.

Our target is $2,500 per candidate – enough for yard signs, postcards, and gas money – basics that make the difference between a real campaign and just a name on a ballot.

First In Line is a project of Every State Blue. We crowdfund for Democrats running in some of the reddest places – getting them the direct funding they need to make a difference. Your donation goes directly to the candidates listed.

First In Line funds in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Once a round hits its goal, the next opens. A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
