First In Line: Washington

Washington may vote blue at the top of the ticket – but that doesn't mean every community has had a choice locally. There are state legislative districts across the state that haven't had a Democrat on the ballot.

This year, Democrats are running in districts that were unopposed in the last cycle. You can give them the boost they need to make some noise! Your donation is split evenly between two candidates:

Ben Christly – a Navy veteran, flight nurse, and father of three – is running in the 17th Legislative District in Southwest Washington. Tamara Stramel – a mom, community organizer, and longtime volunteer – is doing the same in the 31st Senate District near Lake Tapps.

Both of them are running in places where Democrats don't always show up. They are.

We fund in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Our intention is to raise $2,500 per candidate. Note: The current fundraising goal is a milestone toward that overall target. Once we raise the equivalent of $2,500 per page recipient (which in WA's Round 1 is $15,000), the next round opens. A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
