First In Line: Rhode Island
In 2024, nearly 1 in 5 state legislative districts had no Democratic candidate at all. Another 1 in 5 had a Democrat on the ballot – but running on a shoestring.
We want to fix that.
Democrats need to be running – and supporting – candidates everywhere. That's why our First In Line project funds the candidates running this year in the reddest Rhode Island districts – where candidates are often left without resources.
Our goal is $2,500 per candidate – enough for the basics of a real campaign, like yard signs, postcards, and gas money.
We fund in rounds: uncontested districts first, then Solid R, Likely R, and Lean R. Note: The current fundraising goal is a milestone toward our overall target. A candidate not listed may not yet qualify for this round, may still have a primary, or may not have an ActBlue page set up.
