As a psychologist and researcher who studies violence and aggression, and someone who has lost a loved one to gun violence, I have hope that we can find ways we can reduce deaths in our country due to gun violence. Please support our attempts to raise awareness and combat the ravages of gun violence in our society. Please donate to Wear Orange Events and Moms Demand Action to save lives from gun violence and Wear Orange on June 2, 2017. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Wear Orange: National Gun Violence Awareness Day is on June 2nd, 2017. Last year more than 500 corporations, non-profit partner organizations, elected officials, iconic landmarks and hundreds of thousands of Americans participated in the second annual National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Wear Orange was inspired by friends of Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old Chicago high school student killed by gunfire, who decided to honor her life by wearing orange – the color hunters wear in the woods to protect themselves and others.
