Body dysmorphic disorder is 2.5% more common among women than among men. And In 2020, men died by suicide 3.88x more than women.
FaceMe Studios is a grassroots collective working to address emotional and physical insecurities by dismantling body dysmorphia and shame that has impacted marginalized communities.
Summer of 2022, we are creating an interactive Gallery Series to engage our community on visual creativity, vulnerable communication, and intimate connection through the lens of photography, film, performative arts, and fashion.
With immense gratitude and respect to our fiscal sponsor Fairmont Innovation Lab, an inclusive co-working space through creative enterprise and entrepreneurship in the Boston community, FaceMe Studios bloomed this Spring. To respond to the business development gap that exists within the creative entrepreneurial realm in the Uphams Corner area. FIL has provided space, community, network and support for FaceMe Studios to thrive. FaceMe Studios has become our home and flagship for our gallery series.
We are transforming our surroundings and we need your support.
Will you join our growing collective to help prepare for this transformative event? Together we can create safe spaces, community, and healing. All it takes is $5, $10, or $20 today!
