In 1942, the U.S. government forced over 110,000 Japanese-Americans from their homes. They were sent to remote, guarded camps. Their “crime” was their ancestry.
A formal investigation later revealed the truth: it wasn’t national security. It was racial prejudice, wartime hysteria, and a failure of political leadership.
Now, in 2025, another camp — horrifically called Alligator Alcatraz — is open in a Florida swamp to detain immigrants. Once again, a vulnerable group is being targeted. Once again, leaders are falsely justifying it as a “necessary response.”
This is not simply history repeating itself. It is a choice being made right now.
Silence is complicity. Together, we can stop this from becoming our legacy.
