Our work in conservation, science, and education is critical and increasingly important to the tropical botanical world. Our programs are designed to engage the residents of South Florida and throughout the world the importance of conservation. Fairchild has educated 150,000 students, has worked with over 150 school gardens, has distributed over 1,000 pine rockland plants to Miami-Dade County residents, and has collected, stored, and propagated spores to increase our extremely rare fern collection to 500 individuals.
