Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
Contributions to Faizan for Texas are not tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes. Texas law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of individuals who contribute.
State law prohibits contributions from the following:
• Corporations
• Labor unions
• Foreign nationals who are not lawfully admitted for permanent residence
• Contributions made in the name of another person
There are no contribution limits for statewide races in Texas, but all contributions must come from personal funds, a sole proprietorship, or a PAC legally permitted to donate in Texas. Contributions from business accounts must be from unincorporated entities only.
