Dear friend,
We can promise that your support of Families With Dignity will go a long way in our work of supporting LGBTQ+ Catholics and their families. An entirely volunteer-run organization, we have been ejected from our former home by the archdiocese of Detroit. Renewed in our mission, we meet virtually during the pandemic and have increased our membership.
Now joyfully affiliated with DignityUSA, we welcome the day when our LGBTQ+ family members are fully accepted by the entire Church, even as we know they are accepted by God. We pray with confidence that with acceptance will come acknowledgement and support of all legal marriages, of committed and loving family units, of transgender and nonbinary people, and of workplace equality for the many LGBTQ+ people employed by our churches, schools, hospitals and other Catholic institutions and agencies.
