Support Atlanta Family Weekend
Family Weekend is in Atlanta October 7th, 2023.
COLAGE and Forward Together are co-hosting Family Weekend in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at The Legacy Center in East Point. Family Weekend is a multiracial gathering of LGBTQ+ families from the greater Atlanta area and the South with an explicit focus on BIPOC families and accessibility for all families regardless of income. Family Weekend centers the vibrancy of Atlanta while creating safe spaces for youth, parents, and the whole family. We invite you to the kickback to connect and dream about what a collective of multiracial LGBTQ+ families, justice-minded organizations, and local resources can do together.
Family Weekend is for youth who have LGBTQ+ parents/caregivers, LGBTQ+ parents/caregivers, LGBTQ+ adults who are prospective parents/caregivers. Workshops for these groups will take place from 1-3pm. At 4pm, the event will open to everyone! Bring your loved ones, bring your comrades, bring your people! From 4-6pm, we will be having a Garden Party with an art walk, food trucks, and games. From 6-8pm, everyone is welcome to attend drag performances by Southern Fried Queer Pride and the Uke Ensemble!
Any money raised above our 2023 goal will be invested into next year's event.
