Support Farm Workers Impacted by Climate Change
Join us in this fight against climate change by supporting the UFW Foundation in our efforts to protect outdoor workers from the consequences of climate change, including unpredictable weather patterns, extreme temperatures, and other environmental challenges.
Your funds go directly towards UFW Foundation climate change advocacy. These include:
- Fly farm workers to the state and national capital to meet with policy makers;
- Provide emergency services to farm workers affected by climate change disasters;
- Provide support to families who have lost family members due to heat stroke/exhaustion.
- Providing additional funding to support climate change advocacy.

Currently, only California, Washington, Colorado, and Oregon have permanent heat standards for outdoor workers that saves lives by mandating employers to provide drinking water, shade, and other preventative measures to protect workers from heat illness.
