Thanks to our hard work organizing pressure from inside and outside of D.C., Congress overturned the Trump era rule allowing Rent-A-Bank schemes last year.
Still even after Congress reinstated protections, Trump appointed FDIC Chair Jelena McWilliams refused to enforce them, effectively keeping this Trump era policy in effect.
Now, finally, McWilliams is out. There’s no time to waste and, now that Trump’s appointee is gone, the FDIC doesn’t have to wait to take action. Contribute to Americans for Financial Reform and fund the fight demanding the FDIC stop the emerging threat of Rent-A-Bank schemes now!
