Support the EJP Emergency Fund
We've established an emergency fund to support EJP alumni (there are about 90 of them) who are experiencing financial hardship. A small grant has allowed us to launched this effort, but we'll need ongoing contributions to keep it going.
During the pilot phase of this initiative, the funds will be available to EJP alumni only. If it runs smoothly and funds are available, we would like to extend it to other formerly incarcerated individuals in Illinois.
These are difficult times for many. Individuals with a criminal record often experience hardship in accessing any sort of public aid. That's why efforts like this are so important. 100% funds collected (aside from ActBlue's modest fee) will go directly to the emergency stipends. EJP will take no overhead.
