Nicole Fernandez is a lifelong resident of San Mateo County having been born at Mills Hospital and raised in Belmont. She bought her first home in 2012 in what is now District 2.

 

Nicole is a career public servant, having previously worked for the late Assemblymember Ira Ruskin, Senator Jerry Hill, and currently for Senator Josh Becker. Fernandez also previously served her community working on elder abuse prevention with San Mateo County Adult Protective Services. She also is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Samaritan House–the largest anti-poverty nonprofit in San Mateo County.

 

Fernandez is a first-generation American and the first person in her family to graduate from college. She has a degree in Political Science from San Jose State University. She is proud to have attended local public schools throughout her educational career.


She is proud to have the support of former State Senator Jerry Hill, Assemblymember Diane Papan, former San Mateo Mayor Joe Goethals, and dozens more local elected officials, community groups, and individuals.
