Joe Manchin is leaving the Senate. Good riddance. For the last two years, 48 Senators have supported filibuster reform. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have been the only Senators who stood in the way — earning them the nickname ManchinEma and leading to the insulting high five heard around the world at last years’ Davos summit.

With Manchin gone, and Kyrsten Sinema polling in last place behind climate hawk and filibuster abolitionist Ruben Gallego, we’ve finally got a chance to end the archaic rule, and pass climate action with a simple majority.
