Hey Y’all,
My name is Dr. Kristin Hook, and I am a scientist running against Chip Roy to serve the needs of Texas' 21st Congressional District.
I am not a polished politician. I grew up in a working-class family right here in Texas and became the first in my family to earn a PhD. I have spent the last 15 years championing change as a scientist, teacher, union leader, advocate for immigrant children, and grassroots organizer.
When the pandemic hit, I left my research career in reproductive biology to become a public servant in our federal government. Now, I am running to bring sensible leadership back to Congress to help solve the critical issues we are facing here in Texas, especially for working-class families like my own.
Unlike Chip, I believe government can be a powerful force for good. We just need to elect leaders who are more interested in solving problems than sowing chaos!
