Stand up to Republican bullying on food stamps

A dispute over an obscure dairy policy provision has pushed a vote on the Farm Bill—the legislation which includes food stamp funding--until at least late January. It still might scuttle the bill entirely.

Normally gridlock is bad news for progressives, but this time it works in our favor: The vote delay gives us more time to push back on Democrats and kill the deal they cut with Republicans to cut food stamps by $9 billion.
