Hello friends and family. As some of you know, I am the local chapter lead for Moms Demand Action in Auburn, Alabama. I joined this organization because I so desperately want my children and YOUR children to live in a safer environment; hopefully, one day, an environment free from gun violence. My work with MOMS has given me an opportunity to make a difference in keeping our community safe from gun violence. Gun violence prevention should not be a political issue, but it is. I'm asking you to leave your politics aside and think about donating to this wonderful cause in honor of National Gun Prevention Awareness Day, June 2nd (Wear Orange Day). Do it in honor or in memory of someone you know who has been affected by gun violence. Might I suggest a donation of $93 in honor of the 93 lives that are lost to gun violence each day in the USA. I will be making a donation in honor of my mother, Carolyn "Cat" Lepley, who died by suicide over 19 years ago with an unlocked and loaded handgun that she had access to. For more information on where your contribution goes, please visit www.everytown.org. Thanks and God bless!
