Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is a physician and epidemiologist who is the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate from Michigan. This race is rated a toss up by Cook, Sabato and Inside Elections.

Dr. El-Sayed was Director of Detroit's Health Department, Director and Health Officer of the Wayne County MI Department of Health, Human & Veterans Services. He also served on President Biden’s Unity Task Force for Healthcare, where he helped to craft policies to reduce consumers’ prescription drug prices.

As the winner of a late primary, he needs our support to win this critical seat and help Democrats build power in the Senate.
