Maine Senate is a top target for the Democrats in 2026 as we aim to retire incumbent Senator Susan Collins. There are at least two great candidates in the race who are expected to battle it out all the way to the end-of-June primary. At that point the balance in the nominee fund is transferred immediately to the primary winner to boost the nominee as the general election battle heats up.
Nominee funds allow people to donate to the eventual Democratic nominee in a specific federal race. Set up before primary elections, nominee funds give small-dollar donors a way to take action against the GOP even when primary elections are a few months off. .
