We need to pick up four seats to win a Senate majority.
Mary Peltola moves us one step closer.
Mary Peltola served as the U.S.
representative from Alaska's at-large congressional district from 2022 to 2025. She previously served as a judge on the Orutsararmiut Native Council's tribal court, and was executive director of the Kuskokwim River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission.
Peltola is the most recent Democrat to have won or held statewide office in Alaska. She was also the first Alaska Native to serve in Congress. She is running for the seat currently held by Republican Dan Sullivan.
