Foster Alumni Cooking Social 2018 Registration

Only $5 fee per person to attend! Pre-registration is required by May 1st. The $5 fee will be refunded when registrants attend the event.

Leave with cooking skills and a cookbook! Raffle for alumni attendees. This is a cooking class for foster care alumni and we'll provide the materials. 


You are a foster care alumnus/alumna if you said YES to the following questions:

1. Were you in foster care in any US state or country in the world for any period of time? 


2. Did you experience any of the following - foster homes, group care settings, kinship care (AKA raised by a family member) ---- adoption, guardianship or reunification (AKA returning home after foster care) following your time in out of home placement, continuation with DCF after 18?

3. If you are ages 15-17, you are welcome to attend but you must be accompanied by an adult. 


NOTE: ‘Foster Care’ means a government or a social service agency removes a person from the care of their biological parents of origin and places them in a variety of settings which can include foster homes, group care and kinship care (aka other family members). Foster care alumni may also have been reunified (aka return home), be guardianed or adopted following time in foster care or continue with DCF after the age of 18.


Friends of Foster Care (AKA Allies) are also welcome to attend if they are attending with an alum and/or helping an alum attend our event by providing transportation. Current and/or former foster youth below the age of 18 are able to attend with an adult.
