Gil Cisneros is a former U.S. Navy Officer, Under Secretary of Defense, and Member of Congress. Gil served as a California Representative from 2019 to 2021, before serving as Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness under President Biden. In Congress and in the Department of Defense, Gil was a champion for diversity and mental health in the military and worked tirelessly to support veterans transitioning to civilian life. His unique perspective serving across levels in our armed forces has made him a powerful voice for diplomacy. Throughout his career, Gil has also been a champion for fair, inclusive, and comprehensive immigration reform.
