Currently serving his seventh term in the House, Connolly has spent his entire career in public service. He served 14 years on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, with five years as Chairman, an experience that informed his ability to secure federal dollars for local transportation. A former staffer on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Committee and as senior member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. Shaping everything from national drug policy and regulatory reform to war powers and foreign assistance reform, Connolly is a dependable, seasoned leader.
