Tim Kaine has been a dedicated public servant for Virginia for more than two decades. In 1994, he was elected to the Richmond City Council and later served as the Mayor of Richmond from 1998 to 2001. In 2002, he was elected Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in 2002 and held the position until he was elected Governor of Virginia in 2006. Finally, in 2012, he was elected to the U.S. Senate where he has served two terms. In the 118th Congress, Tim serves on the Foreign Relations Committee, the Armed Services Committee, the Budget Committee, and the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. He has been a steadfast champion for strengthening America's international partnerships and bolstering our national security through a combination of diplomatic, economic, and military tools.

Contributions or gifts to Kaine for Virginia are not deductible for income tax purposes. An individual or federal PAC may contribute a maximum amount of $3,300/$5,000 per election, the Primary and General being separate elections. Contributions from corporations, labor organization treasury funds, foreign nationals, and federal government contractors are prohibited. Contributions must be made from the contributor's own funds, not those of another and contributors may not be reimbursed by any other person or entity. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle.
