Khanna has a robust understanding of economic policy and international trade missions, which he put into practice at the Department of Commerce and the White House Business Council under the Obama Administration. Before and after his government service, Khanna worked at law firms representing technology companies. He taught economics at Stanford University and American jurisprudence at San Francisco State University, before getting elected to Congress in 2016. Khanna received his B.A. from the University of Chicago and his J.D. from Yale Law School.

Contributions or gifts to Ro for Congress are not deductible for income tax purposes. An individual or federal PAC may contribute a maximum amount of $2,900/$5,000 per election, the Primary and General being separate elections.
