Prior to his election to Congress, Mike worked as an environmental attorney, served on the board of the Center for Sustainable Energy, and co-founded Sustain OC, a nonprofit organization helping accelerate the transition toward more sustainable power generation and transportation alternatives. Mike's top priorities include combating climate change, protecting natural resources, and securing greater economic benefits and essential services for veterans. He is also the founding Member and Co-Chair of the Spent Nuclear Fuel Solutions Caucus, a bipartisan group driving progress on the safe storage, transportation, and disposal of nuclear fuel.
