Stefany Shaheen is a passionate health care advocate, champion of groundbreaking medical research and a successful entrepreneur. Her eldest daughter, Elle, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at just 8 years old. She’s been part of a transformational bio-tech hub in Manchester to advance and accelerate innovative cures for the most challenging and expensive chronic diseases. The book Stefany wrote about her family’s experience, 'Elle & Coach', became a New York Times best-seller. Locally, Stefany served on the Portsmouth City Council, where she led the fight to clean up PFAS forever chemicals that were found in the local drinking water. She was also elected Chair of the Portsmouth Police Commission, where she protected funding for law enforcement and advocated for reforms rooted in accountability and community transparency.
