Francie's Gun Violence Prevention Fundraiser
My name is Francie King and I need your help to prevent gun violence 
I am a member of the Ohio Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a grassroots group fighting for common-sense gun laws. We're talking about the sorts of things that most Americans agree on: Background checks on all gun sales. Preventing domestic abusers from getting their hands on guns. Closing the sorts of loopholes that allow anyone to buy a gun at a gun show regardless of his or her criminal background and that allow some convicted domestic abusers to legally buy guns from licensed retailers in Ohio.
This year, in honor of our Wear Orange campaign, we'll be raising awareness about how big of a problem gun violence is in the United States, AND raising money to help solve that problem. The best part? A percentage of any money I raise for Moms Demand Action nationally will be kicked back to our Ohio state chapter. That means that we can pay for more local tabling events, quilting bees, member trainings - the sorts of things that allow us to grow our base of people who are willing to stand up and fight for common-sense solutions to what has become a public health crisis.
So, for the 90-plus people a day (8 of them children) who die, and the 200 more people who are injured each day by gun violence, I ask you to please make a contribution to this essential cause. Thank you!
