Support Women GAIN Rwanda

IMG_2395_edited.jpg

I am committed to creating more opportunities for young women like me and the younger generation to learn how to become community advocates and decision-makers.

I am Francine Ingabire, Women GAIN Rwanda's founder and Executive Director. This non-profit organisation builds women’s capacity to be gender equality activists, policy advocates, and global citizens through training programs that teach leadership and community development.

In 2020, I interned with Global GAIN and got an opportunity to learn more about leadership, civic engagement, democracy, gender equality, entrepreneurship, and community development in the Intwari Women Program. It all inspired me to create an opportunity for other women and girls to learn, make practices, and volunteer for the community’s interest.

.

In 2022, together with fellow Intwari women participants, we started a new local non-governmental organisation, "Women GAIN Rwanda," to contribute to sustainable development goals and promote young women's participation in leadership and contribution to social change. I am very proud we made it with this program and turned it into an organisation. All has been possible because of your support.

Sustaining this initiative requires a large budget. To meet our annual target, we have to raise $15,000 monthly. This is a big goal, but it is achievable if done collectively. I am asking for your contribution to the Women GAIN Rwanda programs that support young women, single women, and teen mothers in our local community.

Your contribution will help us:

  • Increase the number of young women trained in leadership from 30 to 100 annually.
  • Increase the number of young women trained in vocational training from 30 to 60 annually.
  • Launch a physical digital literacy lab for young women in Kigali.
  • Provide health coverage and educational support for more female-headed families.
  • Expand our leadership network into other districts in Rwanda for women in rural areas.
  • Deliver high-quality, practical training with the necessary resources (computers, sewing machines, and digital tools).

Please support my mission of advocating for women by donating to my fundraiser. You can also encourage your networks to give.

Your support is highly appreciated!
