#FreedomDay Continues! - Freedom Summer 2019

This Summer, we're raising money to free as many people as possible from immigration detention. On any given day in the U.S., there are over 55,000 people in immigration detention including children.

Every day, community bond funds raise money to free our friends and neighbors from immigration detention and make sure they are able to work on their case from a place of freedom and are reunited with their families.

Your contribution to the 2019 Freedom Summer Fund at the Community Justice Exchange will be distributed across the immigration bond funds of the National Bail Fund Network to help post bond for individuals in immigration detention.

This effort was kicked off over the 4th of July, when many in the U.S. were uneasy about celebrating while so many migrants are suffering in prison camps. We launched an effort to truly celebrate freedom by bailing as many migrants out of detention as possible. That effort yielded incredible results with over $190,000 raised and distributed to local bond funds.

You can still help us reunite families by freeing imprisoned migrants held on bond. All funds raised into the 2019 Freedom Summer Fund will continue to go to post bond for detained migrants. Your contribution to the 2019 Freedom Day Fund at the Community Justice Exchange will be distributed across the immigration bond funds of the National Bail Fund Network to help post bond for individuals in immigration detention.
