Dear Friends,

I am running to represent you in the New York State Assembly's 121st District. I live in Oneonta with my wife, Ana Laura, and our three girls Malena, Layla, and Nadia. I believe the character of where we call home is found almost exclusively in the collective effort of its citizens striving to enshrine their values and build stability for future generations to enjoy. Since moving to Oneonta in 2011, the spirit of central New York quickly drew me to a steadfast commitment to serving it.

Currently, I serve on the boards of Oneonta City Schools, Opportunities for Otsego, and the Oneonta Concert Association, as well as being a member of the Oneonta Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Farm Bureau. I am also proudly employed at New York Central Mutual Insurance as a claims manager.

I am deeply concerned about the future of our district, state and country. I fear that failure to invest in the future of our economy today means that our next generation of upstate New Yorkers will find it harder and harder to stay. As your representative, I will use my knowledge and experiences in business and community service to lead on the issues of education, economic development, infrastructure, environmental protection, and sustainability.

I also believe that the ideas that will turn our prospects upward are already embedded in our citizens' collective experiences and expertise. We can unleash the final ingredient needed for these ideas to come to life through support from our government, not restrictive policies that position us against Albany and our friends and neighbors across the state.

We can reverse population loss, limited employment opportunities, the strangle hold of state mandates on local budgets by working together, engaging more stakeholders, and creating space for innovative ideas to take shape. We can reverse the dramatic effects of the opioid crisis by addressing all corners of the problem, and through support of justice reform that allows rehabilitation as opposed to a lifelong banishment from the light of society. We can reverse the business unfriendly climate in New York by investing in infrastructure, energy resources for the next generation, and supporting the expansion and growth of our locally owned businesses and entrepreneurs. Yes. We Can.

I am also taking a new approach to campaigning. I will knock on doors; go to house parties; farmers markets; county fairs; parades; knock on more doors; make phone calls and use the power of social media to reach every voter in the district. I will not let my opponent out work me, and I will use campaign donations as carefully as I can maximize the reach. My campaign strategy means each dollar raised can reach more voters, so every donor and every donation can make a difference. Please consider giving to this campaign. I promise to devote myself completely to making it count.
