Since my last campaign I've continued my advocacy & public policy reforms for housing and zoning while at the same time the events that occurred also expanded my advocacy to address tax inequality, eliminating poverty, transit equity, workforce development, supporting small businesses, economic opportunity for all, & eliminating all forms of systemic oppression for historically excluded groups in government decision-making processes. Due to both the size of Rhode Island and the deep connections & interactions with Providence as its capital city, I've found myself having to be engaged on both levels in order to achieve true equity and inclusion within both of those levels of government.
The events of 2020 & into this year also show that we must be prepared to serve when the opportunity presents itself. My intention remains to seek elected office at the local level of the legislative elected government body, while at the same time prepare for the the possibility of serving at the state level in the legislative branch.
I also marked a milestone as I celebrated my 40th birthday back in mid-March. Although I could not celebrate in the manner that I've desired with all of us gathered together (but hopefully can do so later on this year), I want to mark the milestone by confirming my future goals to run for elected office in the near future. And as part of this 40th celebration, I ask for a generous donation of at least $40.00 for my future campaign efforts.
