Since my last campaign I've continued my advocacy & public policy reforms for housing and zoning while at the same time the events that occurred also expanded my advocacy to address tax inequality, eliminating poverty, transit equity, workforce development, supporting small businesses, economic opportunity for all, & eliminating all forms of systemic oppression for historically excluded groups in government decision-making processes. Due to both the size of Rhode Island and the deep connections & interactions with Providence as its capital city, I've found myself having to be engaged on both levels in order to achieve true equity and inclusion within both of those levels of government.
The events of the COVID-19 endemic, the Racial Reckoning, & the challenges of living in the City of Providence in this decade show that we need a candidate who understands the needs of existing & new residents living in our neighborhoods, who can lead new policies in economic mobility, & who has vision for all of us to enjoy a high quality of life!
As our current City Council member for Ward 11 is term limited, my long-term plan now presents itself to run for this office on the Democratic Ticket. To make our campaign a success, I ask you for a generous donation for my upcoming campaign activities.
