Your Voice in City Hall
I'm running to represent our 2nd District on City Council. With your help, I will continue a tradition of effective leadership, collaborative problem-solving, and increase citizen participation to our city government.
As both a professional and volunteer, I've worked passionately on planning and zoning issues, school funding and improvements, and our built and natural environment.
- As a Green City Commission member, we helped introduce sustainability goals into city contracts and master plans, and I look forward to sharing major news on work I spearheaded to address the climate crisis.
- While serving as Fan District Association (FDA) President and board member, I represented the Fan on several contentious zoning and code enforcement challenges.
- As Chair of Fox PTA’s Parks & Grounds Committee, I secured the replacement by RPS of long broken and dangerous playground equipment and wrote grants for new school trees and custodial equipment.
- Prior to starting a family and moving back to Richmond, I worked for the international architecture and urban design firm Cooper, Robertson & Partners as a project manager on urban master plans. I also served as Duke University Health System’s Assistant Director for Campus Design & Sustainability and led master planning and sustainability projects across 240 acres and $700 million in new construction and renovations. I know how to work with city planning departments, private consultants and community partners.
If elected, I will fight for thoughtful, community-supported growth that adds revenue, a plan to address our changing climate, and continued support for all of our schools and city services. The people of Richmond are our greatest asset and they deserve a representative who sees them as active partners in the success of our City. With your help, we can make that happen.
