Thanks to the support of over 400 people, Kim qualified for the runoff in the 2nd district for the November election! Your financial contribution in the primary made it possible. Thank you!

The general election allows candidates to raise money again -- up to an additional $550.00, even if you’ve already contributed prior to March 5th.

Your donation will allow Kim to compete for the 2nd district seat, ensuring a victory in November.

Kim De Serpa is a results-oriented, committed and compassionate leader in our community.

Kim grew up in the Monterey Bay region and is a 27 year resident of Aptos. She is a clinical social worker and healthcare leader. Some of you may know her from her work in local healthcare settings; Dominican/Dignity Hospital & Clinics, Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center, Hospice of Santa Cruz County or at Salinas Valley Health Medical Center. Kim has devoted her career and her public service to the 2nd district and all of Santa Cruz County.

Kim was elected to the PVUSD Board of Trustees in 2010 and has stewarded tremendous improvements in her 14 years on the school board. Complex problem-solving, accomplishing projects, and balancing a $331M budget are but a few of Kim’s areas of expertise.

Kim lives in the Aptos Hills with her husband Dr. Ned McNamara, a Stanford Neonatologist and Pediatrician who works at all of our local hospitals. The couple share 6 adult children.

Kim is kind, approachable, will take your concerns seriously and is not afraid to make tough decisions. Thank you for your endorsement and support for Kim’s campaign.
