Donate to Re-elect Lammis Vargas for City Council!

Four years ago, I ran to be a strong, new voice for our community, and I am proud to have delivered on that promise, but more work is left to be done. We are not finished! I am running for re-election to continue to represent the people of Ward 1 on the Cranston City Council because we are at a critical crossroads in our country.

However, to get there, I need the financial resources to print signs, mailers and to run a people-powered campaign.

Please donate what you can today!

I am running because, on the local level, I want a city government that is fiscally responsible, that promotes strong public schools, delivers quality city services, and protects our rivers and our Bay.

I am running because during my first term I championed for greater diversity on city boards and commissions. I also advocated strengthening the city's nuisance task force to hold private cemeteries accountable and abandoned properties that are an eyesore to neighbors. I championed for solar speed radars on Broad Street and Pontiac Avenue to keep everyone safe and passed the Minority Business Enterprise Ordinance to support our small business owners.

Much work is to be done, but I'm also running because we need to continue to advocate for cleaner and greener spaces for our children, families and seniors to enjoy themselves.

I am running because my children, who inspire me every day, have attended our Cranston Public Schools: Edwards Rhodes Elementary, Edgewood Highland, Park View, and Cranston East High and I want to continue to be a voice advocating for working parents to ensure that we have top-notch quality and 21st Century schools. During my first term I supported the school construction bond which will provide important upgrades to our schools and will continue to work hard to get the education aid our city needs. I am running because as one voice we can advocate for housing, recreational space, accessible playgrounds and an inclusive community where

everyone is welcomed!

I am running for re-election because we are one community and I would love your support. Please let me know if you will join #TeamLammis! Let's commit to working together and moving our city in the right direction!
