Board Director Marva Herndon is well known for her fierce commitment to public education, challenging the expansion of charter and voucher schools, staunchly opposing funding cuts to public schools, and demanding the high-quality public schools all Milwaukee children deserve.  


Her time on the Board has been spent championing smaller class sizes, improving mental health services in our schools, and expanding after school programming. Marva is now running for a second term on the MPS School Board.
