Minita is in her second term as the Commissioner of Finance on the Saratoga Springs City Council. She has an undergraduate degree in Accounting, as well as a Masters of Business Administration and a PhD. She is also a tenured professor in Management and Business at a liberal arts college in Upstate New York, after years spent working her way up in corporate America where she started in retail at Walmart and Walgreens.

Minita supports innovation and entrepreneurship, believes small businesses are the mainstay of the US economy, and has concrete plans to bring in much-needed infrastructure dollars to our district. As our next State Senator, she will also bolster climate change initiatives and green jobs, support the ERA, ensure women's access to healthcare and continue to be a fervent advocate for the rights of our LGBTQ+ community members.

Minita lives in Saratoga Springs with her wife, young son, and cat and they love spending time at the parks and libraries around our district.
