When I was growing up, I never could have imagined that I'd run for an elected office one day - let alone become the first Afro - Latino County Legislator. I never thought that a teen age mom, high-school drop out and single mother of three could even have a seat at the table where I’m about to serve you my constituents. My life journey is the journey of a working mom who has strategized, negotiated, budgeted and navigated through life for the betterment of my three children. I will do the same for you, my constituents. I am strong, determined and resourceful.
To this day, my values of hard work, determination, and persistence fuel my fight to advocate for working families and bring much-needed common sense budget allocation and policy to Onondaga County.
