I would like to introduce myself; I am Sandy Maier, your Democratic candidate for Senate District 22. I was raised in Missouri moving to California right out of high school. I spent most of my working career in California state government for 30 years, retiring in 2009 and moving to Arkansas. I moved to Horseshoe Bend, Izard County nine years ago. I love where I live, I don't love the political environment.
I am running for the senate because Arkansans need choices! They need someone that will represent their best interests in the Capitol. There needs to be transparency in government; Government needs to be held accountable for their decisions. Everyone needs access to a good education, healthcare, a living wage, safety from gun violence, women should have the right to make decisions when it comes to their own bodies, and no child should ever have to go to bed hungry!
I look forward to being your State Senator and bringing forth your ideas for a better and brighter Arkansas.
