Friends of Kareem McCullough

My name is Kareem McCullough, and I am running for a seat as a Commissioner on the RCSD Board of Education.

As a Rochester native and experienced educator with over 20 years in the field, I have dedicated my career to supporting students and strengthening educational systems. I have served as a teacher, teacher’s union representative, master teacher, head of academics, special education coordinator, and principal in some of the world’s largest educational institutions. I am also the Director and Founder of Area U, a youth development and education training company committed to empowering young people.

My campaign is rooted in community and a deep commitment to addressing the challenges faced by our most vulnerable members, our children. Tackling student absenteeism, improving literacy, and expanding alternative pathways to success are critical steps in building a stronger, more effective district. I believe that informed, research-based policies are essential for RCSD to grow and thrive.
